The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic service organization in the world. The organization was founded in 1882 by Father Michael McGivney at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Haven, Connecticut, to unite men in their faith and provide for Catholic families in times of need. The organization is guided by the core principles of CHARITY, UNITY, FRATERNITY, and PATRIOTISM and has 1.7 million members.
A group of men of the Our Lady of Grace Parish are members of the Marian Council (No. 3827) of the Knights Columbus. The Marian Council is the largest and most active council in Minnesota, representing Catholic men in several Parishes in the southwestern part of the Twin Cities with over 1100 members.
The Marian Council hall is located at 1114 American Boulevard West in Bloomington, Minnesota. The council website can be reached at www.kofc3827.com, which describes the facilities, services, and activities. These brother knights at Our Lady of Grace are a Catholic fraternal organization of the Parish identified as the “Knights of Columbus Roundtable”, to provide support and service to our Pastor and Church.
Membership information and support are available within the Parish by contacting Jim Twyman by telephone at (952) 944-6299 or e-mail at jettwy@yahoo.com. The Financial Secretary at the council may be reached by calling the hall telephone at (952) 888-1492.
Men of Our Lady of Grace are welcomed and encouraged to be part of the Knights of Columbus’ many Christian activities and services.
