"Following Jesus the Light of the World": A Reflection of Vacation Bible School

If you visited campus during the week of July 25-29, you may have felt like you were in a cave when you came into the school building. That's because we had nearly 160 children and youth age 3 through 8th grade, over 25 high school youth leaders, and 20+ adult volunteers here for Cave Quest Vacation Bible School!

Every day we learned about “Following Jesus, the Light of the World” through: Preschool learning centers, Singing and dancing to praise and worship music, Experiencing Bible skits, Doing fun experiments, Seeing video presentations about how other kids serve Jesus, and Playing cooperative games. And of course there were snacks, lots and lots of snacks!
All in all we had a great week learning how Jesus gives us hope, courage, direction, love, and power. Everyone was touched in some way by the seeds we planted in these young hearts, and we saw Jesus at work through the generosity our families showed in donating baby shower items for Birthright MN.

We'd like to thank all of the volunteers who gave so generously of their time and talent to create our cave and teach the children about what it means to be Jesus' disciples through their acts of service. We have been blessed  by your generosity! Join us for next year's VBS - Maker Fun Factory!
