First Graduating Class from Our Lady of Grace Highschool in Ghana

The relationship formed between Our Lady of Grace in Edina and St. Joseph Parish in Mamponteng, Ghana has been ever deepening with the creation of Our Lady of Grace Senior High School. OLAG for short.

Another milestone was reached on May 14th, 2016 when 129 of its pioneer students participated in the school’s first graduation ceremony.  Pomp and Circumstance was evident in all of its aspects, though the music was truly Ghanaian.  Their cadet display was matched by their choir and a cappella group much to the pleasure ofaudience comprised not only of fellow students, teachers, parents ,andfamilies but also the Bishop, local dignitaries, and tribal chiefs. The included baccalaureate gave evidence to the hard work and stunning capabilities of students whose promise was dim before THIS school and THEIR possibilities became a bright light on a hill of Mamponteng. Prayers and blessings were sent back to OLG in thanksgiving for all who had supported the dream begun in 2011…just one more example of God working His miracles in this world. (Donations for scholarships can be sent to Melissa Miller, OLG. who directly transfers the full amount to OLAG (specify OLAG scholarships)…a mission for all.)
