Funeral Notice 10/14/2016: Marjorie 'Sis' Sheehan

Sheehan, Marjorie "Sis" (nee Ahmann) 1926-2016 The only girl in a family of five children, "Sis" grew up understanding the power of grace, beauty, strength and determination. Her graciousness and beauty brought her popularity, admiration and an expansive social circle. She was devoted to family, friends and service. Widowed at age 50, she moved her household from Wellesley, MA (where her husband had been a Honeywell executive) to Edina. There, she finished raising her wonderful kids, maintained lifelong friendships, and served the Our Lady of Grace parish and school. She was a voracious reader and a supporter of the Edina Friends of the Library. Marjorie was her family's center. Her home and gardens were lovely and welcoming. She died knowing that all of her children openly loved and honored her to the very best of their abilities. She supported their choices, welcomed their mates, and rejoiced in her grandchildren. Born, September 8. 1926, to Frank and Minette Ahmann, she was preceded in death by brothers Daniel Ahmann, John Ahmann, and sister-in-law Gladys Ahmann as well as her husband Lee E. Sheehan and son, Lee, Jr. Marjorie died September 18, 2016. She is survived by brothers, Thomas (Gigi) Ahmann, Frank (Marcia) Ahmann, Jr. and sister-in-law Mary Ahmann; children Catherine (John) Tate, Christopher (Mary) Sheehan, Daniel (Victoria) Sheehan, Timothy (Pamela) Sheehan, Patricia (Wallace) Spencer and Thomas (Tracey) Sheehan; as well as 19 grandchildren and an ever-growing flock of great grandchildren.
