Holy Day of Obligation: Immaculate Conception, 12/8/2016

As the days grow shorter, and we yearn for the sun to increase, off on the distant horizon, rises, with a soft and radiant light, the aurora of the Sun which has been so long desired.  On this Holy Day, we celebrate the first pledge of divine mercy; the Immaculate Conception of our Blessed Mother.  Born of the two true Israelites, Joachim and Anne, kept free from the stain of all sin from her very beginning, by the infinite Sanctity of our God.  He preserved her, so that all might be redeemed through the one she was to bear. Even the angel Gabriel was full of admiration, at the sight of her purity, whose beginning was so glorious.  With the same esteem, we gather this Thursday, a Holy Day of Obligation, to celebrate Holy Mass in the name of our Blessed Mother.

Mass Times for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception:
6:00pm Wednesday: Vigil Mass
10:15am (School Mass)

Receive, O Lord, this host of salvation, which we offer unto you on this solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary; and grant, that, as we confess her to have been preserved, by your preventing grace, from every stain of sin, we may, by her intercession, be freed from all our sins.
