Living Stewardship

Janna Davies
Stewardship Coordinator

Thank you for responding to the call to live Stewardship as a way of life. God gives us prayer, service, and tithing to bring us closer to the living Jesus.  The following are some action steps for you to complete:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart.”

PRAYER:  To love this way, we must spend time in prayer, talking to the Person we love most!  Prayer is the foundation of stewardship and guides all our daily stewardship decisions.  We encourage you to practice TAKE 10 + 2 + FAMILY.  If you are new to prayer or need some encouragement on why to pray, please refer to the attached PRAYER document for inspiration.

“Love your neighbor as yourself.”

SERVICE:  Love requires that we act in the best interests of others. If you are currently serving or are interested in serving in non-liturgically related ministry, then please complete the On-line Stewardship of Service Ministry Form under the Get Involved Tab on the parish website at  This will take you less than 10 minutes to complete.

For liturgical ministries (Greeters, Ushers, Lectors, Altar Servers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Sacristans, and Monthly Coordinators for Baptism) please go to Ministry Scheduler Pro under the Get Involved Tab on the parish website to enroll.  If already enrolled, update your profile at

We have an immediate need for male Discipleship Group leaders for Faith Formation on Wednesday evenings from 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM.  Interested individuals should contact Sister Eileen at for more information.

“For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own free will…but first they gave themselves to the Lord” (2 Cor. 8:3-5).

TITHE:  At Our Lady of Grace we ask that each household begin working towards a tithe of 10%.  If you are not sure what to give while working towards 10%, ask the Lord.  And then give joyfully!  We encourage you to manage your own account by signing up online under the Online Giving Tab at the parish website.  Another option is to complete the attached Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) authorization and return it to the Parish Office.

All registered members will receive envelopes even if you manage your own account online or prefer to authorize EFT.  We fully understand the desire to give while attending Mass.  Our envelopes have a box that you can check to signify you give electronically. So simply check the box and drop the envelope into the collection plate!

“Enlarge the space for your tent, spread out your tent cloths unsparingly; lengthen your ropes and make firm your pegs.”  (Isaiah 54:2)

Let us put into practice the words of the prophet Isaiah and “enlarge the space for our soul’s tent” by growing in magnanimity to make Jesus Christ known and loved.
