Solidarity Prayer Service with Abuse Victims and Survivors

Wednesday, March 20, 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Church
Some days our hearts cannot take a breaking news report of another abuse scandal. We are sad and angry, heartbroken and wary, not knowing who to trust or where to turn. Those who have broken trust with us can shatter our faith in others and our faith in God. How, in the midst of deep pain and hurt, do we begin to mend our broken hearts? For too long, we as the Church and community of believers have failed victims and survivors with our silence. Let us begin again as a faith community with a night of prayer in solidarity with victims and survivors of abuse. Our service is open to all. Let us demonstrate our care as a faith community by standing with victims and survivors of abuse. May our parish be a stepping stone in the path to healing. A light reception follows. All are welcome.
