Stewardship Reflection - 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Sunday Readings: 1 Kgs 19:16b, 19-21/Ps 16:1-2, 5, 7-11/Gal 5:1, 13-18/Lk 9:51-62

…go and proclaim the Kingdom of God.
— Luke 9:60

Discipleship isn’t easy - it demands sacrifice and a willingness to be possibly without home or security. It takes precedence over family ties and obligations. But the rewards are immeasurable because the relationship of Jesus and his disciples is permanent and unconditional. Christ set us free by his saving death and Resurrection, and we are truly free when we live in the Spirit. Pray this week to continue on the path of discipleship, and for the courage and perseverance to make disciples of all nations by sharing the Gospel!
