This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.
— Luke 15:2

Have you ever allowed your foolish inclinations or mistaken righteousness to separate you from our holy family? Are you longing to return home, to be forgiven, for reconciliation? Are you in need of a change of heart and mind through the rediscovery of the Father’s mercy, for laying aside misunderstanding and hostile feelings? Lent is a time to look inside ourselves and consider to what extent we’re straying from or blocking our reconciliation with Jesus and one another. Give thanks to the Lord for His endless mercy. Pray to be attentive to what the heart seeks – reconciliation.
