Sunday Readings: Acts 15:1-2, 22-29/Ps 67:2-3, 5-6, 8/Rv 21:10-14, 22-23/Jn 14:23-29

Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.
— John 14:23

God loves us so much that he never wants us alone or afraid. He gifted to us the Holy Spirit, who is always with us guiding, counseling, comforting and reminding us of Jesus and his teachings. A second gift we’re given is peace, not the type of peace of this world, but a peace that will remain with us in the face of intense conflict, persecution, rejection and death. The inner harmony and communion that God invites us into is an abiding peace beyond any human effort or comprehension. It is based on mutual love. Pray for a conversion of heart – to be willing to respond in gratitude to His love and commit to being His disciple.
