The practice of requesting a Mass to be offered for loved ones, living and deceased, is a beautiful and wonderful part of our Catholic tradition. To provide as many OLG parishioners as possible an opportunity to have a Mass said for their loved ones, these are our rules for scheduling Mass intentions.

  • We can accept only one intention per Mass. Each Mass is said for one person, spouses or one family. For each Solemnity, (example: weekend Masses or Holy Day of Obligation Masses) it is required that one Mass is scheduled for the intentions of our parishioners known as “Pro Populo” (For the People), as required by Canon Law #534.

  • Due to the number of requests that we receive, each household may request up to 12 Mass intentions per year. A Mass may be offered for the same intention no more than one time per week, two times per month, and 24 times per year.

  • A Mass intention can be schedule no more than one calendar year in advance

  • Requests will be honored on a first-come, first serve basis in the order in which the request is received at the Parish Office.

  • The suggested donation for each Mass is $7.00.
