Mary Jo Cole

My husband and I were drawn to OLG 25 years ago because of its welcoming community and outstanding school. Our daughter attended OLG from kindergarten through eighth grade and during those years, I served on the PSO board and chaired multiple committees. I have also served as a lector, Sunday School catechist, music leader for Sunday School, Children’s Liturgy of the Word and Vacation Bible School, director of the Jubilate Kids choir and producer of Faith Formation videos.

I am a graduate of St. Catherine University and William Mitchell College of Law and my professional experience is in music education, law and nonprofit management. I am excited to join the Parish Council and look forward to furthering OLG’s mission of making Jesus Christ known and loved.

My wife and I were drawn to the OLG Parish for it’s vibrant community and the common bonds between the school and church.  About three years ago, we moved from the Minneapolis lakes area to Edina and the catalyst was to be closer to OLG.  Our three children enjoy being part of the school.  My goal at the Parish Council is to serve our community and ensure our mission of making Jesus Christ known and loved.

When I moved back to Edina 25 years ago, my husband and I decided to join Our Lady of Grace even though we live just two doors down from St. Pat’s. The main driver at the time was how incredibly well OLG cared for my mom after my dad passed away. OLG provided support and programs for her that were impactful without her asking. It was an easy decision to want to join a parish that demonstrates its care of parishioners by reaching out to them.

OLG has been the center of our family’s faith and lives. Our daughter built her faith from preschool faith formation, K-8 school and high school faith groups all at OLG. She has celebrated all her sacraments so far at OLG. My husband has been an active member of the Men’s Club, and I have sung in choirs at OLG for over 20 years. Our closest friends are parents of OLG students and OLG parishioners.

I am a graduate of St. Catherine University and the University of St. Thomas and after many years in the financial services industry, I am working as an accounting consultant and CPA. I am looking forward to supporting the parish more intentionally through service on the Parish Council.

Bryan Huntington

Bryan is an engaged parishioner at Our Lady of Grace, a husband, and the father of two daughters. He has served on various boards including the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce board and the OLG Men’s Club board. In addition to the Parish Council, he is presently serving on the board of Abria Pregnancy Resources.

Bryan is a shareholder with the law firm of Larkin Hoffman, practicing in the areas of real estate, zoning, construction, and eminent domain. Bryan graduated with highest honors from Hamline Law in 2013, and graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University in 2010.

Bud Janousek

My wife Rosemary and I have been members of OLG for approximately 35 years. We are both retired and have two adult children, a wonderful son-in-law, and three wonderful grandchildren. We are currently involved in many of the programs being offered at OLG; Sacristan Ministry, Eucharist Ministry, Communion to the home bound, D-Group, and Sharing and Caring Hands, to name a few. We also distribute all the food and clothing donations. We do this to give back what the OLG Community has given us (many prayers answered). OLG is a very important part of our lives. The OLG Parish Council is a very vital part of our parish, and I am thankful to be a member.
God Bless, A Brother in Christ, Bud

I grew up very close to here in Minnetonka, attending St John the Baptist in Excelsior, but really grew in faith at the University of Minnesota's Newman Center. After college, I searched for growing and vibrant young adult communities in the Twin Cities. I was a part of Saint Paul's Outreach in college and am passionate about building those dynamic, faith-based communities in my life. Our Lady of Grace pulled me in with the breadth and depth of the young adult community here, as well as the 5:30 daily Mass! I have taught Confirmation for three years as well and look forward to serving on the PPC!
