What is Baptism?
Baptism is the Sacrament of rebirth into life in Jesus. Through it comes the forgiveness of sins, adoption into God's family, new life in Christ, and membership into His body, the Church.
The Baptism of Children at Our Lady of Grace
Baptisms for anyone from birth to 3rd grade:
Fill out our Baptism Registration Form to register for a Baptism Class and to begin the process of reserving a date for your child’s Baptism. We typically celebrate Baptisms on the first and third Sunday monthly after the 11:30 AM Mass, but please confirm dates on our registration form. Check-in begins at 12:35 PM and the celebration begins at 12:45 PM. We host the Baptism Preparation Class every other month on a designated Tuesday from 6 - 7:15 PM.
We baptize over 160 children a year (which is great!), so we cannot offer a private or individual Baptism except for special circumstances of health. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
We have selected dates for Baptisms for those over 3 years old and under 3rd grade. When you fill out the Baptism Registration Form, please select from one of the dates labeled 3 years and older. Infants are welcome to join their older siblings for these dates.
Once we receive your registration, you will be asked to provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate. You can either mail a photo copy to the Parish Office (ATTN: Mackenzie Garcia, 5071 Eden Ave, Edina, MN 55436) or email a picture to Mackenzie.
Become a member of our Parish - click here or consult the bulletin for our next New Parishioner Welcome.
If you have any questions, please email Mackenzie or in the Parish Office (x9048).
