Options for Grief Support

Edina Coalition for Grief Support

Thursdays 4:30-6:00 PM
Of all of life’s stresses, losing a loved one to death is at the top of the list. Would you like more support? A listening ear? People who understand you? Our Lady of Grace is a member of the Edina Coalition for Grief Support and we meet every Thursday from 4:30 - 6:00 PM. This is a program for adults. We meet from 4:30-5:00 PM as a large group to hear a speaker, then break into small groups for spouse loss, child loss and other losses. Facilitators have experienced the same kind of loss as the group they are facilitating.  No pre-registration is required. The support group changes church locations each quarter. For locations and more information, click here.

If Thursday afternoons doesn’t work with your schedule or you are looking for a group to support a specific type of loss (like the loss of an infant or loss through suicide), below we have complied a list of area grief support groups.

Stephen Ministry

All of us need a helping hand now and again. Sometimes life throws us a curve-ball, and we just need a listening ear. Stephen Ministers are here to help. They provide one-on-one care for individuals who are grieving from the loss of a loved one, as well as support for many other areas. For more information visit our Stephen Ministry page.
