Simons, Joseph P., 50, of Edina, born September 24, 1969 passed away on April 21, 2020 at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul. Born and raised in Edina, Joe enjoyed family fishing and hunting trips on the Canadian border and in Western Minnesota as well as trips to Naples, FL to break up the Minnesota winters. Joe spent most of his working life at restaurants around the Twin Cities (primarily Lincoln Dell and T.G.I. Friday’s). A 2004 graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Denver with a degree in International Business, Joe was an entertainer at heart, attending the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater in NYC and cherishing his time as a singing waiter at Many Glacier Lodge in Montana. Joe and friends from St. Thomas Academy and neighborhood pals continued to enjoy movie nights, poker nights, trips to the local casinos and staging impromptu 4th of July firework displays up to this past year. Joe made seventeen 4-day silent retreats at Demontreville with his father. Preceded in death by mother, Susan and sister, Diane. Survived by father, Nicholas (Betsy) Simons; brother, John (Jeanne) Simons; nieces, Samantha (James) Reidy, Kate (Andrew) Whitney, Maggie and Mary. The July 17 Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace in Edina is available at olgparish.org/funerals. Internment at Acacia Park Cemetery. Rose Marie Nichols Funeral

Rose Marie Nichols, 89, died peacefully from congestive heart failure on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.
Rose Marie was born in Corning, New York, and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She married the love of her life Charles Nichols May 17, 1952 after finishing at University of Ann Arbor. Life in Minneapolis, was full raising 7 kids, hosting parties with friends and neighbors. Together they enjoyed the perks of traveling the world. Sharing the love of Jesus was important in all of her encounters, and it was the culmination of all she did. Predeceased: parents Aloysius and Katherine Gaiss, sister Katherine Miller, husband Charles Nichols Survivors: children Robert (Kelley), Rick, Cathy, Cindy, Christina (Dan) MacInnes, Ron (Julie), and Cherie (Dave) Fesenmaier; grandchildren Nicole, Bob, Kristen, Rochelle, Brian, Bryan, Kristopher, Kyle, Danielle, Randy, James, Michelle, Gabrielle, April, Jacob, Joe, Annie, Rose, Lucy; 9 great grandchildren; sibling Al (Ruth) Gaiss; Adopted family John, Sherrie, Tina, Demetrius, Alex.
