General Instructions

+ What to do when you arrive

Please arrive 5 minutes early. It is important to be on time out of respect of the adorer(s) for the hour before yours. All adorers are expected to fulfill the full hour. Due to scheduling complexities, we only schedule adorers on the hour (not the half hours).

Remember to “sign in” by using the kiosk (iPad tablet) at the back of the chapel. The tablet uses AdorationPro software and will have your first name and last initial listed for the upcoming hour. Simply tap on your name and you're signed in.

+ If you are unable to make your hour

First, try contacting your adoration partner(s) to verify that the hour is covered.

If there is no one else signed up with you for your hour, please try to find a substitute (ask friends, family, or neighbors or see if you can “trade” hours with someone else on the schedule).

If you are unable to secure another adorer, please request a SUB at https://adorationpro.org/grace using the following steps:

  1. Click on "Find a Sub" and enter password “sub”
  2. Click "Login"
  3. Click “Send Auto-Sub Request” and enter your information (email, day/time you need sub). When finished, click "Send Sub Request" – and give it 5 seconds to process.

You will then receive an email with the name of the person who has accepted your Sub Request. Once you receive that email, you don’t need to do anything else – you’re covered!

If you do not receive an email confirmation, that means no one has accepted your request. At that point, please contact the Adoration Chapel Coordinators at olgadorationchapel@gmail.com and we will try to help you.

+ If you will be arriving late for your hour

Please call your adoration partner(s) to verify that they will be there on time.

If there is no one else signed up with you for your hour, please call the adorer(s) for the hour before you to let them know you WILL be coming but will be delayed. Be sure one of them will stay until you arrive.

+ Ensuring the Blessed Sacrament is never left alone

Please do not assume because others have come into the chapel that they will be staying for the entire hour – they may be visitors.

Make sure the committed adorer or substitute for the next hour has signed in before you leave.

Please do not try reposing or covering the Blessed Sacrament on your own – there is a special process for this that requires training. Adorers whose hours begin the day at 5:00 AM and end the day at 11:00 PM, or hours leading up to or after Mass, are trained for Exposition and Reposition.

+ If the next adorer doesn’t show up

If you are unable to remain in the chapel for the following hour:

  • First, try calling the adorer(s) scheduled after you to see if they are on their way.
  • If no one answers or they are not coming, please call the Parish Office at 952-929-3317 during business hours. They will advise on how to proceed.
  • If it is after business hours, please call Adoration Coordinators Mike McCauley at 503-428-2729.

Please wait until the substitute arrives before you leave as the Blessed Sacrament cannot be left unattended.

+ If your current hour is not working well for your schedule

Please do not simply quit. We will happily help work with you to find another hour during the week that works better for your schedule! Please reach out to the Adoration Coordinators at olgadorationchapel@gmail.com to request a different hour.

Weekly Holy Hour
Committed Adorer

Committed adorers sign up to fulfill (or find a sub) for a specific hour each week – an hour and day that remains the same every week.  Committed adorers are essential to ensure the Blessed Sacrament is never left alone on the altar and the chapel can remain open for visitors. If you are interested in keeping the same Holy Hour each week, you can sign up by clicking on the button below and following the prompts.

Serve as a Substitute
Substitute Adorer (“Sub”)

Our Lady of Grace is blessed with more than 90 people who have signed up to serve as a substitute for committed adorers who can’t make it to their weekly hour for whatever reason – travel, work, illness, etc. The process for securing a sub is quick and easy and utilizes an online request and email system. Thanks to the responsiveness and commitment of our subs, a sub request is often filled within the same hour it is submitted.
