Frank Steck

My wife, Jane, and I met at Marquette University and have been longtime OLG parishioners. We have a son, Riley, and a daughter, Meagan, who both attended BSM and the University of San Diego. Our appreciation of the Catholic faith and schools is deep. It helped form who we are and is a constant in our lives for which we are grateful.

My strong desire is to serve individuals in ways that make a meaningful contribution to their own personal journey of joy, serenity, and faith. I love serving and appreciate the blessings and life purpose it provides in return. I serve with Homebound Ministry and recently joined the Stephen Ministry.

Jane and I love to travel to interesting places and experience special Catholic pilgrimage locations. Religious and spiritual journeys to Rome, Lourdes, and the Holy Land, as well as walking the Camino Francés, have deepened our faith.

My passion for music, live entertainment, and event production has guided me on a 40-year career producing name entertainment events throughout the United States and world-wide for our company, Spotlight Corporate Entertainment Inc.

I seek time outside in nature, new and interesting experiences, quality time with family and friends, and learning more about supporting how our OLG faith community grows.

Christopher Wachtler

Chris has been attending OLG for the last five years after moving to the western suburbs from White Bear Lake and marrying his wife Theresa, who grew up at OLG and has been a member of the faith community since childhood. Chris and Theresa live in Bloomington and have five grown children and one grandchild between them. Chris has been an attorney for over 30 years, and practices labor and employment law. Chris graduated from St. John's University in Collegeville in 1991 and is grateful for the opportunity to have experienced his college years studying the liberal arts surrounded by and grounded in the Benedictine traditions. Chris joins the PPC as a new member in 2026 (after freezing in the tree lot and greasing at the fish fry for a few years) and looks forward to this new opportunity to serve, grow our parish, and bring the beauty of the Catholic faith to the communities around us.

Chris Dougherty

My family—my wife, our 13-year-old son, and I—joined OLG in 2017, and we are deeply grateful to be part of such a welcoming, vibrant, and supportive parish community. We enrolled our son at OLG School at the start of 3rd grade, and he will be entering 8th grade this fall.

I try to serve the parish and school whenever I can. I am a lector at the 9:30 AM Mass (and occasionally at other Masses when our son is altar serving), and I’m also an active member of the Men’s Club. I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve on the Parish Council.

I was born in New Jersey and raised in Connecticut in the Ukrainian Catholic church. I earned my undergraduate degree from New York University and my law degree from George Washington University. I practiced law for ten years—first in Washington, D.C., and later in Minneapolis—and I currently work for a commercial insurance company.

Heather English

My family joined OLG 9 years ago after moving from SW Minneapolis to Edina (with a quick stop in Dallas, Tx). Growing up Catholic, I knew that bringing my faith to my family was very important to me. My husband, Ross, supported this and throughout our marriage church and faith have been a part of our daily lives. 

Our three children attend Edina Public schools and have been part of Sunday School, Faith Formation, Encounter, and High School Youth Group as well as OLG VBS and Extreme Summer Camp. Ross became Catholic through the OCIA program a few years ago. I participate in a wonderful multi-generational women’s small group that grounds me in faith and allows me to gain wisdom from so many wonderful women. 

I am entering my 7th year teaching in the faith formation program. I’ve spent many years teaching 4th grade and find joy in this age of kids because they start asking great questions about their faith and I want to show them that their faith can be a foundation for them as they grow into their own selves. 

Before choosing to stay home to raise our children, I worked as an academic advisor at the University of St. Thomas. I serve in many volunteer roles with Edina Public Schools. 

Annie O'Neill

My husband and I joined OLG about 20 years ago when we moved back to the Minneapolis area after living out of state for several years. We were seeking a vibrant Catholic community for the next stage of our lives where we could raise our children and meet other families with young kids. This dynamic, energetic and lively parish drew us in, and we are so happy to have made so many wonderful friends.

Our four children, Gabrielle (15), Owen (15), Grace (13) and Lucy (11), attend Edina public schools and have participated in OLG’s Faith Formation program since they were in kindergarten. They have received their sacraments through OLG and have been active volunteers in both reading at Mass and in the summer Vacation Bible School program. We are grateful to be able to raise them in a faith-filled community where they can continue to grow in their love of Jesus Christ.

I am a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, the Yale School of Public Health and the University of Minnesota Law School. I practiced as a health care and nonprofit attorney in a large Minneapolis law firm for several years before deciding to stay home to spend more time raising our children. I am grateful to be able to volunteer with their schools and extracurricular activities, in addition to the local philanthropic organization Giving WoMN.

I am looking forward to serving on the Parish Council in order to give back to this wonderful community, to continue meeting new parishioners and to help support the Faith Formation program.
