John Matthew Taney age 74, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026 at The Villas Cedars in St. Louis Park with his brothers by his side. Born June 30,1951 to Roger and Mary Jayne Taney, John graduated from Edina High School and spent most of his adult life living in Eden Prairie.
Survived by brothers, Brooke (Susan) and Ted (Jane); nephews, Brookes (Michele) and Brian (Melissa); nieces, Lauren, Ashley, and Whitney Taney LaMarre (Ryan). Six grand nephews and one grand niece.
Visitation is at 10 AM and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to support Diabetes or Alzheimer’s research.
