Alpha Lenten Series for Young Professionals

“And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” - John 17:3.

That’s what Alpha is about.
Coming to know Jesus.
With each other.

Alpha is a series that combines food, a video sharing a message from the Gospel, and open table conversation with other participants. We’ll talk through questions such as “Is there more to life than this?”, “Who is Jesus?”, “How does God guide us?” and more. If you are looking to grow closer to Jesus this Lent, this series is for you. If faith isn’t a big part of your life but you are interested to hear more and share your thoughts in an open environment, this series is for you. Wherever you are at, we invite you to join us.

Alpha kicks off on Sunday, February 18 and runs until the final Sunday of Lent, March 24. We will be together from 6:00-7:40pm at Our Lady of Grace. As mentioned previously, dinner is provided, so no need to stress about your Sunday dinner plans – we’ve got you covered.

Registration

The cost is $30, which covers food and materials. Registration is currently closed for this series.

Young Professionals Fall Retreat

From Friday, October 27 at 7:00 PM
to Sunday, October 29, 12:00 PM

Life can be crazy, busy, mundane, exciting. Regardless of what life is feeling like right now, an annual retreat is a must for every Catholic. We step away from the pace of life to breathe. We take time to be intentional with the Lord and to hear His still, small voice in the silence. We have the opportunity commit or recommit to living an intentional and abundant life in Christ. As Saint Paul writes, “And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 4:19). God is the answer to our desires. May we open up our hearts to the full and lasting satisfaction that can come from God alone.

We will be heading about an hour away to the beautiful Dunrovin Retreat Center, located north of Stillwater. 50 acres of the natural outdoors – a gorgeous woods for walking and simply being out in nature with the St. Croix River right there to remind us of the beauty of God’s creation.

Space is limited! Register by October 10!

The Suite Life of Chris and Kory –
The Final Live at OLG of the Season

Chris Kostelc is back. Our first repeat customer. And he’s bringing a friend.

If you couldn’t make it the last time, Chris enlightened us about the importance of storytelling in sharing the Gospel. This time we have no idea what the man is going to talk about, and frankly neither does he. If you’re in for that kind of electricity and spontaneity, get ready to have yourself a night.

What friend is Chris bringing in? Lifelong (well, since 2010) friend, Kory LaCroix. Chris and Kory were youth ministers together at Holy Name of Jesus for 9 years. Again, it’s going to be electric.

Two truths and a lie which will be revealed this Thursday

Two truths and a lie about Chris:

  • Used to be an airline pilot.

  • Can’t whistle.

  • Once won a children’s coloring contest after signing up his daughter (she painted a little bit of the picture so it wasn’t cheating).

Two truths and a lie about Kory:

  • He enjoys romance comedies.

  • Was part of a hype up group at Saint John’s University called the “Rat Pack”.

  • Worked in construction during the summers primarily to get tan.
