Human beings have a natural tendency to hold on to family heirlooms. Reflect for a moment on the items in your home that have been passed down through generations. In much the same way, the Church has Holy heirlooms from the Saints. We call them relics.
Join Father John Utecht as he discusses the over 25 relics in OLG’s care. Fr. John will speak to how veneration of Saints' relics has ancient roots found in scripture and that the practice is recognized by the Church as an expression of piety that extends the liturgical life of the Church (see CCC 1675). By honoring these Saints' lives, we ultimately draw closer to Christ.
