Mission Home

This Summer OLG Youth traveled around the Twin Cities serving those in need in our community. We could be found doing anything from gardening all the way to bringing communion to those in need. Our motto was that You don't need to travel thousands of miles to be the hands and feet of Jesus" and BECAUSE Mission Home this summer was such an amazing experience... we didn't want it to end!

Soooooooo now we have Mission Home all year round! For more information click here

LifeNight

In this series premier for our upcoming LifeNights on the Mass, we find out the definition of the word "liturgy." While it technically means the work of the people, there are two more aspects that help us understand why we even have the Mass in the first place.  Join us for games, food, and discussion!

LifeNight's are a mixture of faith and fun, and are open to everyone who is in high school! Each LifeNight has a fun game, a testimony or teaching about a different topic of our faith, discussion, and closing prayer.

At LifeNights you will be able to talk about a variety of issues and experiences with friends and young adult leaders so that together you can grow in faith and discover how a relationship with God will help you have the best life possible! This is an incredible time to connect with friends and God in the midst of our busy lives. See more.....

Meet Class 16!

20 more laborers into the harvest

A few weeks ago, I was blessed to head back to Minnesota to attend a weekend Labouré training (affectionately known as Boot Camp) to start off this new class. It was exciting to see some of my classmates again, who are continuing on with me from the previous class, and to meet my new classmates. There are 20 of us in total. That's a lot more future vocations than last time! We are all very excited and ready to take on these next five months of fundraising for vocations. It was also good to see the Labouré staff members again. I am so grateful to them for all they have done and continue to do for us. It is only through their "yes" to God that Labouré continues to exist and to deliver people like me into their vocations. Please pray for them in addition to my classmates and me!

At Boot Camp, I also got to see three of my classmates who are now, thanks to Labouré, able to enter formation! Tucker is a seminarian for the diocese of Philadelphia, Catherine is entering the Franciscan Sisters TOR of Penance of the Sorrowful Mother, and Derek is entering the Missionaries of the Poor. They are not the only ones from Class 15 who are now entering formation, but they're the ones who attended Boot Camp to see all of us again and help with the training. I am so excited for them, and I know they are even more excited to follow God's will. Thank you so much again for all your support through prayers and/or financial investments. It is because of you and your "yes" to God that they are now able to pursue their vocations. God will surely bless you for these gifts to the Church!

I want to thank Fr. Hank Lanik, the rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler, TX, for allowing me to speak after the Masses during the weekend of January 26/27. I am so grateful to have been able to speak there and connect with people afterwards. It was a fun weekend because one of my classmates, Chris Dixon (pictured above), was able to join me. You can find his story here. It was really great to literally work side by side with him for vocations. Some of the sisters from my community, such as Sister Josephine (pictured above), supported us by being present at some of the Masses. I look forward to meeting with everyone from the parish who's allowing me to reach out to them in the coming weeks!

A quick update, Class 15 raised about $570,000, thanks to you and your generosity, and now, as we continue forward with Class 16, we're trying to raise even more! We believe the Lord will continue to provide through blessings like you. The 20 of us are each seeking to raise $60,000 to reach a class goal of $1,200,000 by June 30th. Please pray for us! Be assured of my continued prayers for you.
